Visger Precision, Inc.

Company Profile

 Company History

Visger Precision was started in Santa Clara, California in 1975 by SCCA & IMSA driver Terry Visger. Terry competed in the IMSA Camel Light & GTU series while he developed Visger Precision. Initially, the customer base reflected the computer and computer components business of "Silicon Valley". As computer applications expanded, so did VPI's customer list. High tech is still part of the customer base, but a larger portion of the business is involved with manufacturing components for the medical, robotics, & oil industries and even a small portion of business stems from the racing influence.

 Our Team

Ten of the fifteen employees at Visger Precision have been at VPI for over 10 years and it is their ability, knowledge and experience that provides the basis for consistent quality. VPI operates two manned shifts per day and has the capability to run an unmanned third shift. Despite all of this experience, employee training is ongoing.

Our Approach

By combining the latest in manufacturing and programming software with the latest in machine technology, Visger Precision has developed a system capable of ensuring that every job within the system receives the highest quality attention and workmanship at each stage of the process.

All aspects of the manufacturing process are electronically linked, including job tracking; electronic job "file folders" and program development using customer CAD/CAM files.

 Mission Statement

Visger Precision must function as if it were an extension of the customer's facility. The requirement to produce a quality product at a competitive price and delivery is a given, but issues such as versatility, flexibility and process refinement should be included. Changes in business are a fact of life. VPI's job is to effectively respond to those changes.
